Dog Ramps for Healthier Pets and Owners
While some pet owners figure that they can just lift their pets up and down as needed,
dog ramps are an easier and safer alternative. The ribs, lungs and other bones in a dog
can be damaged by lifting and many animals simply do not like to be picked up. Your pet
may squirm and twist because it causes some pain, or is just a security issue, leading to
the possibility of a fall for both the dog and the handler. Dog ramps are the safer and
healthier option for pets and owners alike.
There are countless times in a day when dog ramps will benefit your pet. Every time he
jumps on and off the couch to see who is walking down the street, or up and down from the
bed to be your constant shadow, your dog is feeling the effects of a bone-jarring impact
on his joints. When heading out for a drive in the car, does your dog have any difficulty
jumping in and out of the vehicle? Even if he does not appear to be putting in any effort,
the shock on the bones and joints will eventually wear them out, and nobody wants their pet
to suffer from arthritis or needless bone fractures.
As our best friends age, dog ramps are an obvious choice to help prevent injuries and needless
suffering. While these ramps help arthritic dogs, they are also used to assist canines with
heart problems, following surgeries, cancer treatments and other conditions. Whether it is for
the bedroom, living room, or our vehicles, why would we not provide a simple dog ramp for our
beloved pets, and save the wear and tear on their bones and joints?
